Andrew was one month old on August 10th! It's hard to believe we've had
him that long, but at the same time it seems like he's always been here.
He continues to eat very well. He was up to 22.5 inches long and 11lbs
4oz at his doctor's appointment last week.
Because we never take enough pictures around here, you get to see several more! We're taking two different monthly pictures. A friend showed me a website where I could print iron-ons with the months and put them on a onesie. We're also taking a picture next to Curious George each month to see how much bigger he is! He looks way bigger in his one month pictures already because he always kept his legs curled up at first.
Andrew has been lifting his head up when he lays on his tummy and it's so adorable! I know you're thinking he's so advanced for 1 month!:)
We also had a visit from Andrew's favorite Montana Aunt! Kendra came to visit for a few days and we loved having her here. It really hit home for me how different life is for us now! When my mom, sisters and I get together we always go shopping, out for lunch, coffee, etc. We attempted to do this last Thursday and Andrew was not having it! Nate said that was to be expected, taking a boy to the mall. He cried so much because he didn't want to be at the mall, and then when we got home I cried because I did want to be at the mall! It's such a change but it's well worth it, and we're adjusting just fine. Next time we'll be having our girls day when Nate is home to hang out with Andrew:)
Kendra brought him a shirt with Montana on it and a heart on Bozeman!
He loves his Aunt Kendra! We've started letting family members hold Andrew now that we've had him for a few weeks. Sometimes he cries when he's not with us and then as soon as we hold him, he's quiet. Not so nice for the people holding him, but it warms my heart:) So don't feel bad that he's crying by you because you made my day!
Thanks for all your gifts, visits, meals, prayers and kind words!
Heather
How adorable! Give him a hug and kiss from Grandma!
ReplyDeleteHe is so precious! I remember the first month crying a lot too, haha! Big adjustment, but well worth it as you said.
