Fundraiser

Asking for help is not something I'm good at doing. It's hard and it's humbling. Asking for financial help is especially humbling for me. It leaves me feeling wide-open to judgement and vulnerable to wondering if we're a cause worth helping. So why are we embarking on an adoption journey that we cannot fund on our own? It's for our babies. Two years ago, we could not afford an adoption. We saved like crazy, but the reality of it is we could never have financed our first adoption without the generous and overwhelming support of our families and friends. And the end result is our precious son, Andrew.

I look at his beautiful smile and feel his little arms wrapped around my neck and I know without a shadow of a doubt that he was always meant to be my baby. No amount of paperwork, money or waiting could have stood in the way of bringing him home. And now that I have this daily, visible reminder of exactly how worth it asking for help is, we are asking yet again to help us bring our next baby home. It is with a very humble and grateful heart that we ask for your support.

We are partnering with Sara VanZee and hosting a Noonday Collection trunk show. Check out their website http://www.noondaycollection.com/our-story.html and read about their story. It's a company that was started to raise money for an adoption and they continue to support adoption by donating a percentage of the trunk show sales to families. We will be hosting two parties for our friends and family in the area. For the month of January, 15% of the sales from our shows will be donated for our adoption!

You can also order online at www.noondaycollection.com. Just make sure when you check out to choose the name Sara VanZee for the ambassador and enter Heather Buys as the trunk show host. All sales are shipped directly to you! For every order you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate, plus you can earn an extra entry by bringing a friend to either of the two shows.

Nate's sister, Mindy, is currently organizing another fundraiser in which we'll be selling some handmade items such as burp cloths, diaper clutches, drawstring bags, pillow cases and more.
